Does PayLexer process my payments?
No. PayLexer simply connects your WP Travel Engine website with AmwalPay. When a traveler completes a booking, the payment is processed directly by AmwalPay. PayLexer never holds your funds.
Do I need a developer to connect AmwalPay to WP Travel Engine?
No. The setup is designed for non-developers. Once you have your Merchant ID, Terminal ID, and Secret Key from AmwalPay, simply enter them into PayLexer and enable the gateway on your booking website.
Why do I need to contact AmwalPay for my credentials?
Your Merchant ID is available in your AmwalPay dashboard, while your Terminal ID and Secret Key are issued by AmwalPay’s support team. These credentials are required to securely connect your account through PayLexer.
Can I test bookings before accepting live payments?
Yes. Request test credentials from AmwalPay, connect them through PayLexer, and complete a few test bookings before switching to your live credentials.
Where can I view my bookings and payment transactions?
Your bookings remain in WP Travel Engine, while payment transactions are available in your AmwalPay dashboard. PayLexer lets you manage the connection between the two.
Does AmwalPay only support payments in Omani Rial (OMR)?
Yes. AmwalPay currently processes payments in OMR, so your WP Travel Engine website should use OMR before enabling the gateway.
Does PayLexer charge transaction fees?
No. PayLexer doesn’t add transaction fees or take a percentage of your bookings. Any payment processing fees are charged directly by AmwalPay.
