Does PayLexer handle my customers' payments?
Not directly. PayLexer connects your WP Travel Engine website to Tap Payments, but every transaction is processed securely by Tap. Your payments go straight to your Tap account.
Can I test tour bookings before accepting real payments?
Absolutely. Add your Tap Sandbox API key in PayLexer, keep Debug Mode enabled, and place a few test bookings. Once everything works as expected, switch to your Live key and start accepting real bookings.
Will travelers see local payment methods like mada or KNET?
They will, provided those payment methods are enabled on your Tap account. PayLexer simply brings your Tap configuration into your booking checkout.
My booking still shows as pending. What should I check?
A pending booking usually means Tap is still confirming the payment. Once confirmation arrives, PayLexer automatically updates the booking status. If it remains pending longer than expected, checking your Tap Dashboard is the best next step.
Can I refund a traveler through PayLexer?
Refunds are managed directly inside your Tap Dashboard. After processing the refund there, you can update the booking status in WP Travel Engine if needed.
Does PayLexer charge anything on top of Tap's transaction fees?
No. Tap Payments handles all payment processing fees. PayLexer doesn’t add extra transaction charges or take a percentage of your bookings.
